Leafs cry over a slap shot into an empty net thinking it’s worth a pound of flesh and then try to put up 10 late in a game to show up the Ducks…comical

I dont know any of the Leafs players, so can't say what their thinking is. They have enough high powered offense to pop goals in bunches. So they could have just been playing back and getting lucky.

But, if they were trying to dunk it after the game was well over that goes against what the whole slapshot into the open net thing is all about at its core. Sportsmanlike conduct.

We also dropped 9 on Montreal. But that was Montreal. If it was Nashville I would not have been cheering for 10. :D

People may say it's a niche sport but putting 70k into Metlife for a regular season game in the cold on back-2-back days is impressive. Although seems like A LOT more Ranger fans in the stands than Islanders.

Those Islander's uniforms though. "Isles"? Really? I dislike it when teams us nicknames (Bolts, Sens, Canes) on official uniforms but those are particularly bad.

Starting your career with a pretty good fight mid-ice in an outdoor game against veteran pugilist Matt Martin. Good stuff!

The Islanders just don’t have much to work with in terms of alternate uniforms other than the fisherman.

They could go pretty crazy and throw some teal into the mix, but Lou ain’t going to let that happen.

No wonder their so bland. I forgot Lou was running the show there lol. Does he still outlaw players using high numbers?
