Anyone who thinks Holiday fouled him can GTFO

Nembhard pushed off to start the play

I give the Celtics a lot of credit for this one. Most teams probably call it a night and take the L.
This is a team with heart unlike the lose every playoff game at home Bruins.

Was wondering why White and Holiday weren’t playing better defensively and then on cue they stepped up and shut Indy’s guards down.

They went 4:38 between missed shots. Just insane shot making to close a game.

Based on this past season I'm not so sure. This version of the Celtics seems to have trouble sometimes playing teams missing their big stars - Lakers without LeBron and AD, Miami without Butler, Atlanta without Trae Young ( twice ). :dunno:
They proved my comment incorrect. You were correct.

Hell baby
I got to giv Mazzula credit for calling time out when he did and laid into them on how bad defence was. After that they where lights out
It was very clearly an effort thing and not a defensive strategy/coaching X’s and O’s things. They were playing with their food. They do it all the time. I got them at like +200 when they were down 16 because I knew it would end up a one possession game.

Joe gets zero credit when they win and he’s the first one thrown under the bus when they lose (or in the case of last night, when they’re losing in the 2nd quarter). I thought he did great last night. Smart timeouts. Got them engaged.

Ultimately though this is a stars league- you’ll win because of your stars or you’ll lose because of your stars. It’s almost never coaching imo

Watching the Pacers faces, at the end of the game, they looked somewhat broken.
Not a lot of veteran leadership, other than Carlisle, to pull them together.
There close, but young to being a great team. As in all sports, it up the health and money.

The 5 minutes a night or so this team plays hard can be pretty impressive
