The key is gonna be to make Doncic work on defense and wear him down. Don’t let him stand in the corner guarding somebody while we ISO. Keep him moving the entire time he’s on the court.

Yeah perhaps, If I'm dallas i likely match Luka up on Horford whenever he is on the court. Not sure who he guards when Horford is not out there

Some draft news - the Lakers will keep the #17 pick in this year's draft.

from espn.com:

The New Orleans Pelicans are planning to defer the Los Angeles Lakers' first-round pick until 2025, clearing the way for the Lakers to select 17th overall in the 2024 NBA draft, sources told ESPN on Friday.

The Pelicans -- who have until 11:59 p.m. ET on Saturday to formally inform the NBA of the decision -- had the choice to use or defer the pick a year as part of the Anthony Davis trade in 2019. This is the final of three first-round picks that the Lakers owe to the Pelicans in the deal.

David Griffin, New Orleans executive vice president of basketball operations, informed Lakers VP and general manager Rob Pelinka of his intentions Friday, sources said. The Lakers possess the Nos. 17 and 55 picks in the June 26-27 draft. New Orleans still holds the No. 21 pick in the 2024 draft.

How insufferable is Mark Cuban going to be during the series? I just need to prepare myself
He sold the majority stake to casino owners and the NBA loves gambling hence their good fortune. They’ll show him once or twice like a prop but that isn’t his baby anymore.

People were calling out our meat head fans in that last thread and that is fair but I took my wife who’s NBA obsessed but grew up in Africa to 2 neutral games on vacation in other cities this year and she’s like “where is the buzz we have in Boston there’s no energy.”

Will be an expensive series because the rich losers sat out the first 3 rounds so have to go now for the gram. I got into G1 Indy and Cleveland for under 100 each.

He’s scheming to rob Fenway in this downtime

You just know he has them re-watching The Town over and over again

Yes Cuban sold a majority stake to Casino owners, but he still owns like 27% of the team, But the deal was structured in such a way that he still has oversight of basketball operations, and was still sitting on the edge of the bench in the Minny series, and i expect will be during the finals.

He will absolutely be shown frequently during the finals

Meanwhile over in the WNBA, someone gave Caitlyn Clark a stiff shoulder check away from the ball and Twitter is acting like someone took a steel chair to her

Its open season on CC. These WNBA players are crazy. I've been watching since Moore and Taurasi came in the league.

It's bush league. And Cheddney Carter who called Clark a bitch and hip checked her is fueling the flames. Carter will never be on Clark's level. Her actions were bullshit.

And the refs have let this shit go on for many years. Protect your star players. CC gotta stop being so nice and use an elbow back.

Great player but the way people view her as untouchable and go after anyone they perceive as anti CC is so damn cringe.

If CC can’t handle getting knocked around or called a bitch (which isn’t bad at all unless you clutch pearls) then maybe it’s time to call it a career.

I’d take Sabrina Ianescu over Caitly Clark all day, every day.

They need an enforcer. She's too valuable to have players thinking they can just go knocking her around or punking her without the threat of anyone standing up for her. I looked Liz Cambage up to see what she's doing now, and one of the first things i see is she elbowed some player in China straight to the dome recently. Just what Indiana needs

I see nothing wrong with it. When Sidney Crosby came into the NHL everyone wanted to rough him up and he had to take his lumps and got everyone's respect. It happens. Clark is special but everyone else in that league is probably sick of the hype and wants to give her a hard welcome to the pros.

Indiana is still young in terms of players, I think it starts with Sides. She wasn't good at drawing plays last year either. If I was that organization, I'd give Bluder a blank check and sign an enforcer. I'll take Cambage. I'll take anyone. That team needs somebody. Not just for CC, but for the other players too.

The WNBA is finally getting good recognition and eyes to the league, thanks in part to CC and this rookie class. Attendance is breaking records. It's amazing as a woman to see this league get it's due. But it's embarrassing to see NOBODIES like Cheddney do that. It was absolutely unnecessary. For someone who didnt wanna answer questions about Clark after the game, her Instagram posts and Twitter likes say otherwise. CC doesn't bother anyone. She just wants to hoop. And these women who are going at her unnecessarily isn't gonna help a league who before Clark, struggled to get people to not only attend, but watch.
