  • Xenforo Cloud has scheduled an upgrade to XenForo version 2.2.16. This will take place on or shortly after the following date and time: Jul 05, 2024 at 05:00 PM (PT) There shouldn't be any downtime, as it's just a maintenance release. More info here

TB's need to clear cap not only puts them in a position of weakness when it comes to acquiring a good return via trade, but it also becomes a game of cat & mouse with Stamkos' agent. Say they trade someone like Cernak, all of the sudden it's "Now that you can't use the cap as an excuse, raise your offer". Will be interesting to see who budges first. That's assuming there's no framework already in place, which remains a possibility.

It's very true that JBB and Stammer have something laid out but JBB can't find a dance partner to trade with. Either way, clocks ticking I just don't wanna hear

"We tried right down to the wire and just couldn't get something done" from JBB when Stamkos signs somewhere else.
He's gotta make moves regardless of signing 91 so why continue to wait.

Thats a bad contract in my opinion. 21.4% shooting percentage on 84 shots, 18 goals....they are going to be in for a rude awakening. He's basically Jeannot but everyone is clamouring over him.

So he had this injury since January? Why the hell did he play? He wasn't effective barring like 5 games all year. Its not like just sitting him and getting him to heal up to 100% would have made the team worse. In fact he made the team worse on most nights.

the thing with all this is we can still go 10% over the cap before the season starts so really we are working with around 13m but have to get it back down before opening night

Ya but then teams know you for 100 percent have to move money and you have no leverage

I don’t think they have anything agreed too if they did Sheary and Jeannot would be gone by now JBB would call everybody in the nhl
