All the not trading down complainingFirst few pages of this thread are an absolute gem.
This is exactly why they didnt trade down... They didnt want to risk not getting him.

how about next year when we don't have much money ?If he has a good offseason, getting a bit stronger, he's not that far off from being able to play in the NHL.
You have to give Tre till next year to fix the massive mess.how about next year when we don't have much money ?
So far so so good
How about the year after when we DO have the money and he fills our LW need for league minimum Then we can make a real splash on D and have him on the team. Man im stoked for this kid!how about next year when we don't have much money
I think the most impressive thing about his crazy consecutive game point streak is that it shows he brings it every single night. That kind of competitiveness will be a real asset to the Leafs. How about the year after when we DO have the money and he fills our LW need for league minimum Then we can make a real splash on D and have him on the team. Agreed. Also, I just checked and he plays rw/c. Dunno why I said LW. That's my mistake.I think the most impressive thing about his crazy consecutive game point streak is that it shows he brings it every single night. That kind of competitiveness will be a real asset to the Leafs.
How the f*** do you not trade back if this is your guy.
I hope this post gets bumped in 5 years and I'm very wrong but holy f***.
Really curious how good this kid is.
Anyone can give a real non hype up review of him would be great.
It seems like this guy is going to be a Marchand or Point type player.
His offensive upside has been underrated.
In theory, he would make a great LW'er on a line with Matthews and Marner. Can skate, forecheck, make high level plays and also finish.

It's ok you weren't the only one - I gotchu with the bump - dont think we need the 5 years
He will 100% not be in the AHL next year.Too bad there is only 1 game left in the season meaning the highest he can get to is 36 unless playoff games count.
If playoff games dont count, i bet this might be his last regular season OHL game. He is either going to the AHL or NHL next year.
How come Wright got to go to the ahlHe will 100% not be in the AHL next year.
He played 4 full seasons in the CHL. Cowan's options next year will be NHL or back to London. How come Wright got to go to the ahl
