Prospect Info: [2023 - 101st] Florian Xhekaj (OHL - Brantford Bulldogs)

  • We sincerely apologize for the extended downtime. Our hosting provider, XenForo Cloud, encountered a major issue with their backup system, which unfortunately resulted in the loss of some critical data from the past year.

    What This Means for You:

    • If you created an account after March 2024, it no longer exists. You will need to sign up again to access the forum.
    • If you registered before March 2024 but changed your email, username, or password in the past year, those changes were lost. You’ll need to update your account details manually once you're logged in.
    • Threads and posts created within the last year have been restored.
    • Our 2025 light and dark themes were lost, so we are rebuilding them. Light theme is currently available, but work in progress

Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Anyone knows if the guy can skate well?

I am all for a gritty bottom line winger, but if he doesn't have decent nhl skating, he won't help us.

I watched him a few times playing for Hamilton.

He is not the fastest skater but not bad. He tried really hard and hits everyone that he possibly can. Supposedly he can fight but I haven’t seen him fight live. I remember two of his goals and they were both by the net. One was a deflection and one was a rebound. You still need to score those garbage goals. His point totals are nothing great but keep in mind that he was in his OHL rookie year and on one of the lowest scoring teams in the league.

I really hope that he has a learning curve like his brother. He projects to be a fourth liner who may be a slight upgrade over Pezzetta.

I get what people are saying, but as an example the Habs selected Pezzetta over Matthew Phillips.

Pezzetta has played quite a few NHL games while Phillips hasn't made it.

It may not be your choice, but who knows who will make it at thos point and if they do will they even be more than a 4th liner ?

Happy with this.

Lucic in Boston this year. Can Xhekaj uncrown him and put his ass down where Komisarek and Laraque failed to?
Hard to blame Laraque, Lucic hasn’t stopped running from him yet. He wanted zero part of BGL.

This pick made me happy. I’d love to see both Xhekaj just crushing some Bruins, Leafs or Sens.

Arb and Flo, the Smash brothers.
