Järventie is the worst in the second line so far. Could be to high of a intensity for him. He's just letting the puck go sometimes.
Simontaival is more decisive and cool with it. Määttä fights at least.

The end of the period was bad. Just get it over the blue line - make the Finn players exit the zone. Crazy.

Canada needs to get back to chipping the puck and attacking on the forecheck rather than controlled entries.

The 2nd half of the period Canada tried controlled entries with east-west play which will fail against the Finns.

North-south chip and attack is the best counter to the Finnish systems of clogging the middle of the ice defensively on NA ice. Canada was doing that in the 1st half of the period with success.

He's been a headless chicken the whole 1st, but so have many others, like i see only 2 players engaged in the play when we do get in the o zone and the rest are just standing there

What can I say? while the Finnish team certainly won't feel good about that period they can consider themselves fortunate that they are only down 1 to start the second.

Canada was getting a little silly again in their own zone down the stretch too.
