Damn this game sucks but won the series thats the main thing. Would have preferred the blowout earlier then the extra inning loss. But romano was due for a bad game. Time to rebound

Pfft. Tapia. Also kind of funny seeing Kikuchi going from being too flat to being too wild. The guy is really in his head right now. He should be sent down for a spell and brought up only against weak teams until he settles.

Still nice to see the clutch hitting carrying over from the end of last season.

I personally think Kikuchi having major control issues today and Bo making 2 big mistakes defensively were even more problematic.
Having Tapia batting ahead of Espinal also likely played a huge role.

Yep. Winning series against good teams now will pay tons of dividends later...especially given it all came down to one measly game last year.

Just finishing the game such. Such a frustrating affair. From the early runs on (bad ump call) walks and errors, but there were so many baserunners he probably deserved to give up a couple runs. To leaving so many guys on base, to Collins and Espinal coming up clutch to give us the lead, to the Biggio error to tie it, to the 8th and 10th ending with Tapia leaving 5 runners on base, to the game winning HR which I didn't think was a HR off the bat.

Winning games is good but if the offense can only get us up 1 late everytime this is going to happen eventually. We need some bigger leads late

I don't think the pitch to Pena was that bad. Falling behind 2-0 sucked and Pena was sitting fastball, but bottom corner of the strike zone was fine. I guess Romano was due with all the hard contact he had given up. Credit to Pena for sending it beyond the wall

On one hand, in the non-yankees losses, we had leads and/or giftwrapped runs for the opponents with crappy fielding. (Even in one of the NYY loss, couldn't take advantage of Chapman's walk fest).

On the other hand, no series losses to date even with a few key injuries and the offense not fully alive yet. Time to crush the Sux

Angel Hernandez is one of the worst umpires in the history of baseball. The Ump Union is insanely strong to keep this dinosaur employed.
