At least Vlad made him throw some pitches. This Jays team needs to slow down and relax. Lots of time left but the young nerves were in clear display that first inning.

Gotta make sure they know you can't hit a 3 run homer with no one on base.

This is what we paid Springer all that money for, he's gotta be the leader here.

Man, I thought this was a place for insane hot takes like mine! LOLOL

I forgot to put the :sarcasm:. They do have 9 innings to get back into it.
They’re not hot takes. Getting 3 runs down to Castillo, particularly if he’s on his game, has put us in a serious hole. We may need 19 innings to get to him.

I think the energized atmosphere is actually helping the Mariners in a way....the Jays look like they are a bit overwhelmed to start, and Seattle has read nothing but the fact the Jays are favoured. No pressure on them at all - they can relax and play ball.

3 straight sliders, 2 of them fairly off the plate and Julio hacks at them all.

Postseason nerves are a hell of a drug

Solid bounceback by Manoah.

Slow the game down, big dog. Don't need to run through a wall to win this game.

Was kinda curious to see how Manoah would deal with the elevated pressure. He pitches with fire but sometimes the fire can burn a bit too hot if that makes sense.

ok. started to keep the ball down and looked a bit better.

now our big advantage over them is our lineup depth. need to show it this inning.

That was dicey in right field, but good on Manoah to get out of it. Danny J. will likely have to put the offense on his back, let’s hope he gets up in bottom 2.
