Anyone discrediting the odds swing doesn't understand the amount of money it takes to swing the odds by that much for a market as big as a the NHL draft is. The same thing happened in basketball recently where the first overall pick came out of left field, as all the insiders had the team picking first (Orlando Magic) selecting a player. The odds suggested though that one of the other kids that no mock draft had going 1st overall, was the favourite to go #1. He ended up going #1. Make no mistake - this swing in odds is very significant and looms heavy over the draft.

honestly, nobody gets as excited as him. I know people hated on him during the world juniors, and he said super unprofessional things live "straight off the reservation" but he is knowledgeable and really gets me worked up for the draft. It can't be worse than the nfl draft where every kid picked had a sob story a few years ago.
