RESULTS SO FAR:
  1. Owen Power, D (--): 86/103 votes (83.5%). Runner up: Jack Quinn (11 votes).
RULES: Each poll will remain open for 2 days. In the event of a tie within the top 10, I'll create a 1-day runoff poll to decide the winner. Ties outside of the top 10 will be left as ties. For each additional poll, I will add the most commented next to add prospect.

ELIGIBILITY: All players whose rights are held by the Buffalo Sabres and who are eligible to win the Calder Trophy for the 2022-23 season are eligible inclusion. That means a prospect is eligible if--
  • He is under age 26 (as of September 15, 2022);
  • He has played no more than 25 games in any single preceding season; and
  • He has not played 6 or more games in each of any two or more preceding seasons.
NEXT TO ADD: Comment the player you want to see added to the next poll. The following players are eligible:
  • Forwards: Josh Bloom, Viktor Neuchev, Olivier Nadeau, Prokhor Poltapov, Alexander Kisakov, Tyson Kozak, Filip Cederqvist, Linus Sjodin, Lukas Rousek, Matej Pekar, Linus Weissbach, Aaron Huglen, Matteo Costantini, Gustav Karlsson, Jake Richard, Joel Berndtsson, Stiven Sardaryan, Viljami Marjala, William von Barnekow, Jakub Konecny, Brett Murray, Vasili Glotov
  • Defensemen: Nikita Novikov, Mats Lindgren, Oskari Laaksonen, Vsemolod Komarov, Albert Lyckasen, Philip Nyberg
  • Goalies: Topias Leinonen

In another no-brainer here, Quinn. It gets more difficult from here.

Speaking of difficult -- who the heck to add? Lots of good options to choose from.

Going with one of the Russians here makes sense. Let's say add Poltapov.

I think Power is in a tier all his own. Quinn is atop of the next tier for me because he has draft pedigree and development. Savoie and Peterka have one but not the other although Part of me really wanted to put JJ at #2.

Quinn. I think #3 will really be interesting, but here it has to be Quinn.

There are about 5 guys I could be convinced to use my "add" on. I'm going to go with Neuchev here.

I think Power is in his own tier and Quinn is in his own tier (just barely below Power).

Where I struggle is who tops the next tier.

I have Power in his own tier. Then Quinn, Peterka, Savoie and Levi are in the next one. The one after is still crazy loaded with talent like Kulich, Ostlund, Johnson and Rosen. It’s pretty pretty pretty good. You can get to tier 4 on my list and find some real good prospects.

It's kind of ridiculous how deep we are. I think I can easily count 20 guys who (in my opinion) will at the very least get several cups of coffee in the NHL.

I can easily talk myself into 10 guys who will (in my opinion) more than likely be NHL regulars. TEN.
