RULES: Each poll will remain open for 2 days. In the case of a tie within the top 10, I'll create a 1-day runoff poll to decide the winner. Ties outside of the top 10 will be left as ties. For each additional poll, I will add the most commented next to add prospect.

ELIGIBILITY: All players whose rights are held by the Buffalo Sabres and who are eligible to win the Calder Trophy for the 2022-23 season are eligible inclusion. That means a prospect is eligible if--
  • He is under age 26 as of September 15, 2022;
  • He has played no more than 25 games in any single preceding season; and
  • He has not played 6 or more games in each of any two or more preceding seasons.

I think we're close enough to the end to stop adding new players to each poll.

Poor Topias. The board currently hates you. How many teams currently year 2nd round pick is ranked lower than their 3rd and 4th round pick. Assuming Lindgren wins here)

It doesn’t mean the consensus is wrong

Nadeau, still here for me. Bloom is worthy, as is Cederqvist, Lindgren, Leinonen and Weissbach. A great problem to have for sure. I do like Marjala more than most, but he's likely never going to be much more than AHL fodder here.
Nadeau and Leinonen seem like the two guys with the best chance of becoming NHL regulars to me that are still on the board.

E: Komarov and Cederqvist are close behind.

Neuchev I can at least understand being voted in ahead of Leinonen. Many had him as a 2nd round talent with an enormous ceiling....high potential of never seeing NA too.

Leinonen was absolutely LOATHED by the fanbase, so it's no surprise that he's not going to get any love........even if his ceiling is "Legit NHL starter" (which it is).

I like Cederqvist, Nadeau, Leinonen (not in order). Bloom and Lindgren feel like their tier behind them.

He’s a 4th round pick in this past draft. He started out as a potential 1st rounder. He stayed there for me throughout the season, so in the 4th is a fantastic steal for me.

I also picked Cederqvist
I was having fun with the typo in his name (above, after Lukas Rousek)
I like him too, as much as I can, he just turned 18.
Cedeqvist is 22 and got a litter bigger, so I gave him the nod.

Leinonen may have that ceiling, but it will be a very long time if ever. I know that's the way with goalies, but with him particularly, he's a bit behind the curve in terms of development for his age. He's very stiff, his angles aren't great and he's got a habit of letting his stick wander even. JYP will work to correct these things quickly hopefully.
