Yes, round 1 Thursday, round 2-7 Friday. It's usually Friday/Saturday.It's tonight? I'll probably skip it, we don't even have a pick. I rarely skip drafts but what's the point?
I literally posted about him in the Draft GDT on the main board 30 seconds ago lolany chance Miroshnichenko falls to us in the 2nd round?
If he is there, yeah they take him, but there is no way he falls to the end of the second. Even with the illness and Russia question marks.any chance Miroshnichenko falls to us in the 2nd round?
He's been cleared for training tooIIRC, the recent medical reports on Miroshnichenko have had optimistic outlooks, and I'd guess he'll get picked in the latter third of the 1st round. McKenzie had him ranked 19th, and I don't think there's any chance he falls all the way to 63.
Wish Laf was too, kinda surprised he isn’t considering it’s in MTLSo Othmann will be at the draft with the Rangers to experience what it's like
He's on his way to Van with Krav, our '23 and '24 first rounders, and Shesty for JTM.Wish Laf was too, kinda surprised he isn’t considering it’s in MTL
While this is true to some extent, the draft now yields far better players until about the third round. Just 20 years ago if you picked outside the top 5, you probably got a nobody. Now the top 10-15 could be potential game changers and the rest gradually decline until around the third when there is a steep fall.Draft is mostly luck outside of top 10-15 so it's not the end of the world that we're not picking 30th.
Like silverfish (rest in power) always said, sort by points on the CHL website and take the name at the top.
There could be a blockbuster trade involving us, who knowsThis draft is going to be boring for us. We all know the reasons i dont need to list them. Kinda going to be hard to watch. We are not trading into the first round in this draft, since there is no reason to, nor will we be making any other deals until day 2 getting late round picks in return for scraps. Which is what it is.
The other thing, all this talk about people possibly falling.... IT DOES NOT MATTER lol. WE dont pick until the end of the second round, we wont get any fallers.
Lets hope we find some gems on friday.
He and Nakladal ran off into the sunset together. I hope they are happy.Draft is mostly luck outside of top 10-15 so it's not the end of the world that we're not picking 30th.

Nakladal never scored 90 points in the CHL. silverfish should have known better. He and Nakladal ran off into the sunset together. I hope they are happy.

The increase in training programs, skill building, video, advanced stats, more people playing, etc. has helped teams identify and build much stronger prospects and prospect pools then used to be common and they can do it with much deeper draft picks.
