Looking at the Rangers board, they're pumped to unload him (and really happy about the return).

The goalie market is so thin, even Georgiev gets a decent return of quantity. No quality though.

Georgiev seems like he can be good, but can he consistently put it all together?. Maybe Colorado is in the stage like us where they figure they can take any decently talented goalie and make them look good. Not like Kuemper was amazing in the playoffs (though fairly timely in general with his saves). I don't love it as an Avs fan, but I get it.

Rangers fans have said Georgiev is only good when he gets regular starts consistently. As a backup where he plays once every 7-10 days, he struggles.

Honestly 2 3rds seems like highway robbery for Georgiev considering they've been wanting to offload him for used jock straps for like 2 seasons now

Yeah considering the context the Rags got good value for him, but he's a much better goalie than he's given credit for. I think he can be a solid 1a/1b for a team like Colorado.
