Small correction, Hillis is the biggest faller.
Norlinder is also the biggest faller in terms of impact, he went from Top 3 to barely Top 20.

I agree with Treb here; having Mailloux at 7 is way over where he should be. I can’t have a player that racked up ten or so games of experience in two and a half year so high. Playing is key to development. There’s no way he’s heading in the right direction with that many games missed.

Slav, Guhle, Barron, Norlinder, Ylonen, RHP and Primeau will likely play games. Some of them may stick, but it depends a lot on our TDL moves.

I’ve watched 3 of the top 5 live, a great deal.
My 2cents….I’d like to see Barron at #3, he’s trending as an NHL D, he’s been selected to represent (1st pairing) at WJC, Memorial Cup, played AHL & NHL the only remaining question is 1st, 2nd or 3rd pairing.
Beck at 10 is great. He has incredible potential & plays a rock solid game with energy & leadership.
I’d switch Mysak at 12. see Barron rationale
Buddy of mine from the 67’s predicts big things for Viny Rohrer. I saw him a couple of times & was impressed by his composure & talent at such a young age.

Hopefully a full year in the OHL will help. Will be interesting to see his 2nd half. Maybe he can even go back next year.
That he's a really good, "natural", skater should help.

Yeah I would agree. I think Fairbrother will get a cup of coffee if he plays well this year. Management needs to decide on him... I guess Leskinen is not on the list... but I think he might push too. I could see Norlinder breaking out this year... he has had a lot of various experience at this point and MSL is gonna love his insane creativity...

I was voting for Rohrer at #7-8 - we stole a top 25 1st round pick IMO.
To me Leskinen is fighting with Schueneman for third pair. Loser is #7.

It's disappointing have the top goalie prospects so low. Hopefully one of them or a prospect acquired by trade percolates to the top. This will remain our Achilles heel otherwise.

I still say that Beck will have the biggest jump in Habs fans rankings by the end of the year.

Imo, the Lane Hutson hype is the biggest outlier in this entire poll. It is insane that he is ahead of Harris and Primeau, even Beck.
He does have the top potential to be above these guys, but for where he is in his development at this point, there is no way he is ahead of those two guys who are nearing NHL readiness and showing solid qualities to make them impactful. Beck's case is mostly being picked a whole 30 slots above, so that can still be debated as they are "at the same point" in their development. And people are allowed to have different preferences than NHL GMs.

Or you could argue that if we had a dominant G prospect, he would overcome these biases and percolate to the top. I don't remember how Carey was perceived back in the day. Perhaps such a list was infeasible then.
Mailloux is the biggest outlier because he barely played the last two years, he's very raw and is still somehow #7.
Goalie stats are a lot more circumstantial than skater stats, so it's harder for people who don't really pay attention to evaluate them properly.
We don't have a Carey Price, but we do have goalies with starter upside.
I had Primeau at #6, Dobes at #14, Dichow #20, Croteau #38, Vrbetic #41.
