Prospect Info: 2022 8OA, Marco Kasper

Yea but those three players are always on the ice when we pull the goalie. How much of that statistic is based on those situations alone.
They do track empty net minuses.

I want to say the bigger one for Larkin is I have noticed he seems to be saddled with the Holl pairing at the same time he is on ice a lot.

Beyond pleased with Kasper's second half. I think with a summer to get even stronger his game is going to become that much more relentless.

He's for sure better as a center than Larkin at the same age, he absolutely dominated Kucherov last night.

He's absolutely on track right now to be a Larkin level center. The rebuild is in a much better spot right now than it was the first half of the season.

My hot take is that Kasper will end up Detroits best center by the end of next season

Our best center next year? I don’t know about that but eventually yeah it could happen.

I really do think Kasper is going to be a long term Selke guy in his prime. As long as the Wings have some skilled wingers he is going to put up some points to. If he can be a Selke worthy center that puts up 60 points that is a great find for this team.

If the Wings can settle their d, we could see him start to pick up a lot of transition points too because he skates really well. I'm really hoping Todd can work on this at camp because we have guys now that should be able to do this well.

Love how he's matured, he's a good one. Plays the game the right way and still has a chance to pot 20 on the season. Next year should be even better for him.

I actually think longterm he is a great fit for Buchelnikov.

Love what we have in Marco, but that OT goal, the effort by Yanni Gourde on that play was....... not good let's say.

Not a discredit to Marco, he still fired the puck past an all world goaltender.

By the end of next year, I know its a hot take but you can quote me when it happens lol.

He's significantly better defensively than Larkin at the same age, and significantly stronger on his feet/the puck. If he can keep that offence going he's going to be really good, really fast
