A goal is a goal, whether it makes ESPN's top 10 goals of the week or not.
Gotcha. Let's see if I have this right:

If Datsyuk bounces a goal off Abby's butt, then Abby is a plug.
If Larkin bounces a goal off of Marco's butt, then he was worth a top 10 pick.

In any case, I wanted to see Kasper play with Ray before making the decision to send him down. My issue was that he wasn't gonna develop by playing with a plug like Motte on the 4th line. Now we get to see what happens. So far, it's working OK.

The problem I see is that the team only has 3 top 6 wingers, so the 4th one is gonna have some flaws. Might as well try the fastest skaters, first Joey and now Kasper.

i don't remember that being the case. i read almost every post in every thread and i seem to remember that you thought kasper should stay down until he learned to punch people better (lol), and then later sent down to learn to shoot better. i don't ever remember you suggesting playing with raymond should be tried before other alternatives

Who the f*** said anything about Abby? Abby having goals bounced off him isn’t what made him a plug. Being bad at everything else in hockey while being paid top 6 money is what made him a plug. Stop trolling.

There is some irony here somewhere when a Habs fan with David Reinbacher as his username, sporting a Michkov picture lectures people about only boxscore watching and mental illness. But maybe I am missing something?

Why can't he support Reinbacher & Michkov? But I can certainly understand your concern here :)

How so. Michkov is the better player and a blind bat could tell that. Reinbacher is pretty good player and will be fine in the long run. How is meming a notoriously jabberonish franchise like the habs effecting my point above? Some people have no clue what they are watching. That's okay just keep it to ur self. Do people even know what prospect thresholds are? We won't even know what we have until game 200 maybe 250.

Again if your stupid enough to go project dumb things like a 10 game stretch in the public forum and then when the boys crash out to close the season don't come back here and blame kids because your adult ass was writing checks u couldn't cash. Thats on u. Kasper getting time on the top line during a 7 game win streak isn't "to get him going" lol. It's a reward from the coach for what they see. Who in their right mind would move kid up the line when we have clawed back into wild card picture for that purpose.

Yeah, ideally he would have stayed down, especially since Fester did nothing for his development. Even with Todd, he didn't do crap until he was put on the top line. He hasn't even tried to fight anyone and hasn't provided the level of "grit" he did in the AHL or much scoring.

As for your other trolling comment, just use the advanced search feature next time. Search for posts by Gniwder that includes "kasper, Raymond". Not that hard, multiple links, here's one for proof:

Note: Gaslighting doesn't work when you can search for posts. Please stop doing that or I will call you out EVERY time.

It wasn't trolling, just commenting on how that's the only way Kasper has scored ES. He still needs a lot of work in that regard, whether it be in the AHL or NHL.

And quite frankly, the knee injury is what made Abby a plug. Before that happened, he was just as effective as Kasper in digging out the puck and much more physical. Kasper obviously has a big edge in skating and moving the puck even before Abby got injured.

yea, of the 2 of us i'm the troll lol. i'd be willing to conduct a poll and bet a username change plus $100 to the charity of your choice on that one

i don't think you know what gaslighting means

Also that Abdelkader hate is pretty overblown. All is based on the contract Holland gave to him at wrong phase of the career (30+ aged).

Justin Abdelkader was very effective, aggressive worker, defensively good and cost-controlled (1.8M contract), fan-loved player until the big contract. And that injury did affect in him.

Many players will go this way. Injuries will make them useless vs the paycheck.

Here's your "marcokasper" from 2009 Stanley Cup finals. Young and loved. Promising and cheap prospect, no one hates a bit.

I was hoping they will send him down, but has not happened. I thought maybe they wait we lose the game.
That sh goal all him. Bad and lazy play

I don't understand why people are so insanely averse to criticism of young players. Kasper is now in his D+3 year, and is barely contributing to his NHL team, and he was a top-10 pick. It is reasonable to expect a little more from him that this stage.

Like I said, the rest of his draft also looks bad, so it's not that big a deal - but he's not doing much out there. He doesn't look totally lost, but he's also not making much happen either. Going down and dominating the AHL IMO would be good for his offensive development considering he has not been an offensive play driver at any level for the past 3 years. It would be nice for him to play that role somewhere so that he can become more than the 25-40pt 3C that he's trending to be right now.

I'd like to get Kesler out of Kasper, not Lars Eller.

Meh not really. He looks like he fits in and isnt holding back Raymond and Larkin offensively while being good at both ends of the ice. Calling him a top 10 pick like a second overall is the same as 8th is a little disingenuous to me too.

Hes a rookie who has played one season in his career on NA ice, 20 years old, fitting in on the top line. Your expectations are too high for an 8th overall

Broadly speaking, I think this fanbase is the exact opposite of that.
