Not having tried Berggren - Kasper - Raymond together at this point is just stupid.

Honestly not a bad idea. Raymond has proven he can be a line driver at this point. And with the current state of the team, there's no reason not to throw everything at the wall to see what sticks.

I would love to see a top six of Berggren Kasper Raymond and Larkin Kane DeBrincat.

The Wings are dead last in goals scored in the east, and that is with a power play that isn't total trash. Only Nashville and Anaheim have scored less.

Put all of our offensive talent together and stop putting them with plugs. Make the plugs figure it out on their own(they won't).

Lalonde has no creativity at all. Give the kid a chance on a line with Larkin and/or Raymond. I was actually shocked when he actually put Ras with them and on the pp, because he never tries things outside the box. I am not even a fan of Berggren, but even he should have been given some chances higher up as what is the point in these guys playing 6-10 minutes and never giving them a chance higher up? Copp and Compher, Tank and Kane aren't doing well either, so it can't be a bad idea to try other things. That to me is what makes me believe Lalonde is a good asst. coach, but not someone who should run his own bench.

Also, not a fan of them trying to make Kasper just a grinder, much the same way that they tried to make Ras a defensive level guy, which I still think is a mistake.

Those 3 kids are the only ones skating at full speed, throw them on a line and at least the other team will have to work for the puck. Plus, it's the best move for developing all 3 players.

there is also an "eye test" that clearly says he is not more than a 3rd line checking center. I mean I've seen absolutely nothing from him except for good wheels and decent defensive game. Draper v 2.0 if we are lucky.

They need a linemates that can skate and do something. Plugs or washed scorers aren't helping. They do in fact have chemistry.

Burger and Kasper are 7th and 8th in SOG on this team after DBC, DBoss, Ray, Mo, Kane, and Tank. Kinda surprising because I don't think either shoot enough, but at least they have more chemistry than Copp, Compher, Raz or Joey. Unfortunately Burger has below average SH%, and Kasper is abysmal.

But that just means they need a shooter on their line.... someone that can keep up with them.

I'd argue they have better chemistry than most of the other forwards at this point. Points have not come,but they have consistently played well when together.

Kasper has earned going up the lineup and plays a solid foundational game to not get eaten alive by star players. His linemate that is being pushed here with him has not and will get crushed by top 6 forwards and top pairing dman.

Berggren is this boards version of fetch in Mean Girls. Fully on board with the elevation of Kasper, I hope that happens and one of the primary reasons is to get him around better NHL talent than Berggren.

I just remembered I liked Larkin in his first year for his speed and hard work . Pretty much you could say the same about Kasper.

I haven't disliked Veleno on that line either. Veleno can at least skate with them, and isin't anemic to chasing the puck down low in the zone.

Joey needs to shoot more, he's actually a good shooter. He also needs to forget everything Blash, Gagner, and Fester have taught him and just ask Burger and Kasper where he needs to be. If Joey could figure out the soft spots on the ice and the other 2 can get him the puck, it'll actually be a good line. Unfortunately, like I said before, Joey is the forward version of Bowey. He has no idea where he's going, but he gets there fast. He needs to stop running around aimlessly and set himself up to shoot.

Watch the goals, 4 out of 5 of them were his fault. He's making mistakes defensively, looked lazy on the Ovie goal, getting beat on 50/50 battles and lost a defensive zone faceoff.

He's been on the ice for just one goal, and that was Gus' slapper.

If you don't think Todd hasn't noticed, then you're not paying attention to ice time. Seems like you're the one not watching games. He's been dropped to the 4th line. Kasper literally had the lowest TOI in the last 3 games. Maybe you should tell Todd to stop stat watching, lol.

Besides, stats just basically show what's happening on the ice. He can't score well enough to compensate for his mistakes. He basically just shoves the puck at the goalie, though Raz almost had the rebound in the last game.

Is he going to develop by playing with Raz/Motte/Fish? That's worse than tying him to Gagner's hip like Blash did with Joey.

Continuing on this path is going to negatively impact Kasper's long term relationship with Todd. Todd now sees Kasper as 4C, and I don't see that changing unless there's an injury. The easiest way to reset that is to send him down and let him put up some points and re-establish himself as top 6 center.

Yeah i agree.

Kasper looks like he's lost some steam, a change of scenery would do him good. It's probably gonna weigh quite heavy on him if this form and lack of scoring continues for another 20 games.

Plus, it would be awesome to see an absolutely stacked Grand Rapids team. When Mazur comes back they will pretty much add a new top-line.

Kasper has scored 0 goals 5-on-5 at 33 regular season games. ZERO.

That doesn't differ from last season Austin Czarnik.

The comparison for Darren Helm or Kris Draper is more right every day as we move on.
