I think that chart was before Rinzel actually played a few games in the league for them. I think his value has gone up considerably in their eyes since then. Tampa might be able to find a way to get him, but the add(s) to Howard that would be needed would likely be extensive.
And probably before Howard became a headache

On the other hand, Chicago has three defensemen in Wheeler's top 100.

3 Levshunov RHD
28 Korchinski LHD
54 Rinzel RHD

Even if the Hawks think much more highly of Rinzel now, he's still possibly third on their list, and he's still the second best RHD after Levshunov.

Yes, but he and Levshunov are their future at RHD. They have a much bigger glut of young dmen/prospects at LD, so if there is a deal there for Howard, it's likely for one of them as the base. One of EDM or Allan would probably work, or maybe Korchinski depending on how JBB views him and if any other higher value adds wojld be needed on top of Howard. There seems to be little chance that Rinzel is happening unless Tampa adds significantly, at least from what I've seen on different sites and forums.

Ducks, Hawks, Flyers, Bruins, and Rangers all have either no head coach, or an interim guy.

Teams have some decisions to make before making trades (probably).

If news came out that Howard wanted to sign with us, would we (HFBolts) be on board with that, or do we like the idea of getting a defenseman more?

I don't think that emotionally, the bridge has been burned (with HFBolts). We'd grumble a bit but accept him.

The bridge has been burned because most people have decided they're against Howard due to speculation that hasn't been 100% confirmed by BriseBois

If I can accept Drouin for that playoff run, I would gladly accept Howard.

I’d be fine with him signing, nothing has changed. All we have are some rumors, Friedman and friends speculating for clicks and a kid saying he’s having fun at MSU on a podcast.

I would rather have him back. It’s a business at the end of the day, I don’t hold it against him if he feels holding out is best for his career and I actually agree with some of the reasoning behind it.

It’s also very likely we wouldn’t get full value in a trade as it currently stands. We don’t have as much leverage without him signed. He would be worth more in the future if we could sign him.

Depends on the player they'd be getting back, but if Tampa could get a more impactful player for both now and the future, at a position that will have much greater need soon enough, then yes, I'd move Howard.

It's not like he did anything wrong, but I think we need a young defenseman more and would happily move him for equal value regardless.

Just get a solid defensive prospect/young NHL guy and a 2nd if possible. If several teams are interested, JBB might even be able to get more.
