one small enhancement:
When your goaleis head is worse than Kanye’s purse

Copley does have to pass through waivers.

I assume he wouldn't get claimed, but you never know.

He's a 6ft4 goalie, with some NHL experience who currently has a 1.77 GAA and .944 SV% in the AHL. There's a few teams that might consider making a claim.
You have a good point there.. didnt consider waivers on him going back down.. so it would be like a season long decision.. I still might do it, but the optics for Blake would be horrid after just beginning the deal.

Slightly modified it

Copley passed through waivers already to get assigned to the AHL, and there are no re-entry waivers.

But someone else would have to be waived and assigned to the AHL to make room. And only less than $1 million can get buried in the minors (I forget the exact amount). So, it's not like Cal's cap hit can be buried either.

Oh cool, so Copley doesnt have to pass again this year? That means you put Cal on waivers get 1m off the cap, and take on 800k for copley all good

He already cleared waivers when he was sent down in training camp

So if Copley gets called up, he doesn't have to pass through waivers. That's good. What if they decide to send him down again later in the season? Would he have to pass through waivers again, or no?

I understand we can't avoid Cal's cap hit. In this situation we'd just be sending him down so he can hopefully figure out his game, and open up a roster stop on the big club for our Copley.

He has to pass through waivers again after 10 games/30 days (whichever comes first)

OK got it.. Its worth it let Cal get some reps in the A, build some confidence. And also give Copley a cup of coffee and after 30 days (or 10 games) he looks really good gamble and leave him up here - otherwise easy swap them back.

The right wings as listed here is so weak for the jets. LA should be able to breakout coming down the left side all night long.

Poetic genius. Cal Petersen is an easy L.

When we look at Petersen's life its a life that has given the Kings strife.
Night after night, loss after loss, the Kings are burdened to carry his cross.
The mental fortitude of a child, and a lack of technique that drives us wild.
We can't trust him to win, we expect him to fail, but that's just the tale of Cal " I close the door at 6" Petersen.

Who else is feeling good about tonight? Coming off the best defensive game so far this year only giving up 2 goals to Tampa! Team just needs to come together a bit.

Its funny what things inspire poetry on a hockey message board... Cal Pete is muse for us all

Well, top six vilardi was fun while it lasted, but I guess he hasn't earned it

On the bright side that'll jump start the third line, at least for their 6 minutes starting in the dzone with no pp time
I guess Koala was having his afternoon eucalyptus snack and decided he couldnt wally pip RV. I cant imagine what it would take for Koala to move GV into the top 6 without an injury.
