JAD looks pretty quick, has some speed, no too tentative. He could be a regular in the bottom six right now to be honest. I think Kaliyev should go back to playing limited minutes with Lemieux and Lizotte and bump Grundstrom up.

Fiala - Kopitar - Vilardi
Moore - Danault - Grundstrom
JAD - Byfield - Kempe
Lemieux - Lizotte - Kaliyev

Really started to turn the tide of the game in the 2nd half of that period which started because of the effectiveness of the 2nd line.

No that would be shortsighted. He's excelling right now at wing. No need to change things up with moving him back to center. They did the same thing with Kupari last season. Sent them down so he can learn wing and he plays well in Ontario. He comes back and plays well at wing. Then they move him back to center and he's ineffective again.

Disagree. the problem in the past with Gabe was skating...no longer an issue.

The only Byfield line we should see is in the AHL.

I think Kopitar is the one that needs to get moved off the line. He should be playing 12-14min per night.
 
Vilardi's hands are ridiculous. His skill is ridiculous.
In north south races, his skating is a problem. He's not catching the speed demons of this league in a footrace. But he has the agility to play the game as well as anyone.

I don't understand why the Kings needed to demote him for the nearly the whole season last year after what he did as a rookie. Learning to be a winger is easier than transitioning from wing to C.

Glad to see Vilardi cleaning up
