Oilers have 3 games left against the sharks and ducks. Seems bleak.

Definitely want to win the game, but also I don't want anyone who is injury prone or recovering from injury out there on the ice with the Oilers. They will be intentionally looking to take someone out before the postseason. They are in a far more desperate place than the Kings. I'd rather they take the penalty trying to run someone over in the postseason than during the regular season over home-ice advantage.

If McEwen skates, I want to see some toughness. I don't even care if he takes a penalty and gets scored on. I want to see some sort of pushback or response.

Get healthy is priority #1 now, we've clinched, let the seeds play out as they may.

Also, again, I don't see what the point of having insane depth is if you don't f***ing use it...because then when you need to, you complain that they aren't seasonsed/ready/veteran enough. It's like last game's post game discussion about Byfield not being used to tight-checking games...like yeah no shit because Todd benched him in favor of AA last year. Now those things are starting to circle back around as weaknesses.

Imagine a world in which Turcotte/Fagemo/Thomas and Bjornfot/Spence/Moverare/Clarke etc. did more than just sniff Zamboni fumes.

And poor JAD, wonder who he's playing for next year.

All it took for the Kings playoff success was just injure our best players a month before the playoffs. So frustrating that other teams can just injure our best players with no consequence.

Exactly. We all know what Oilers fans are going to be rooting for. Let's not jump on the same bandwagon, but at the very least let's not get run over either. It would be nice for the Kings to win and to catch Vegas, but in the end, the most important thing is to get healthy and prepare for whoever, likely the Oilers. I just want to see some pushback and match the physicality a little better. If you dress an enforcer then enforce something and deter the aggression. You aren't going to stop them from doing cheap shots or stupid shit after the whistles, but know that you may get rocked if you try to take a run at someone.

Gavrikov and Roy are an elite pair. Toby and Drew have played a few games together in the past. That leaves Spence/Walker/Durzi for the 3rd pair options which is problematic. The lack of LD depth that has plagued this team for 2 years is costing them yet again.

You know what though? I shouldn’t even comment on this because I don’t have 100% incontrovertible knowledge of every facet of Blake’s actions and intent. Who am I to come on here and point out obvious flaws in the roster? It’s possible that Blake TRIED to get a depth LD and couldn’t, so it’s fine that it’s been a problem for 2 f***ing years.

No doubt - gotta hope they are just keeping these guys out now to make sure they are as healthy as possible for the playoffs. With everyone healthy, that series most likely goes 7 again. If we get playoff Korpi, I really like our chances.

Also that a multi million dollar entertainment LLC has a hierarchy of a high school dropout and many times concussed multi millionare. Who ran off probably the best draft and devlopment exec in the busines and seemingly anyone else who could be seen as a threat. But thier my team and if i cant think critically and form opinions about them what good is any of this?

If the refs would do thier jobs none of this crap would be necessary. That was the reason the game turned into a streetfight in the eighties. However, a policeman on teams will always be needed to police cheap shots that are missed. The refs cant see everything. And the pendulum has swung too far into making a contact sport non violent. It aint gonna work. So retribution is needed or teams will just get bullied out of competeing or injured out of it like we have here. NHL is only sport i pay attention to anymore for that reason. We have sports to satisfy that basic instinct to want to a part of something strong and powerful...current mainstream finds that appalling because everyone should play, everyone should win and no one can get hurt emotionally or physically... ie Udopia
