Yup, that's what I did. Acknowledging contractual reality is just too much.
If they were able to send Richards to the NHL you can bet your ass they can sit Edler to say the least. Or are you just trying to be obtuse ?

And that's leaves how many spots open on the roster? One. And they have 50 RHD. And knowing TM, he's going to play the vet if he has the chance to. So Spence ain't playing. But TM still didn't bury him, and that's not defending Edler, or saying he can't be scratched. But whatever.
 
But trading for a goalie because of a few bad goals from 2 games isn't reactionary? He's 10-3.

The point is if our coach was smart enough to want Spence in the lineup, it could happen in any number of ways.
