Todd doesn't bring accountability. This is a team still led by dudes that have shown that they will go through the motions ever since 2014. Blake liked playing for T-Mac because he was old as shit and wanted a player-friendly coach.

2015 they failed so they come back harder in 2016 to prove a point. They then suck in 2017, get the coach and GM fired so they come out hard in 2018 to prove a point. Go back to coasting in 2019 and Blake pulls the plug, allowing them to coast until 2022 when they are really lifted by the additions of RV and Danault: two guys with something to prove. Well, they proved it and now here we are in 2023 back to a team unwilling to do get dirty and do what it takes to be a great hockey team.

There doesn't seem to be any killers in the prospect pool but we kind of don't know since there is still all-time franchise guys here in 11/8/32. They all defer and take on the character of their Lady Byng captain and all bark/no bite assistant captain. Durzi came in with the swagger but it looks like an off-season hanging with these guys has him neutered a bit as well.

DL didn't want guys that just wanted to play at the beach. This franchise brought in the ultimate play at the beach guy in Blake and then they recreated his old 90s team throughout management. Guys that have been to the top of the mountain twice already are still leading this team and are, lets be honest, guys that are happy to be playing at the beach. Love them but they aren't hungry enough. That shit trickles down the lineup and now you've got a team that just wants to run and gun while not getting dirty.

These guys are firmly in "Thanks Terry Murray" mode. T-Mac is not the guy to bring them to where they need to be. Not even saying he is a horrible coach but this team isn't going to find it within themselves to right this ship and they have a giant hole in net regardless.

I feel like they've scored three more goals since I started this post. Jesus Christ guys.

At least last season we kicked ass in the East now we just look like fools against all the divisions. This is what Blake gets for not solving the D and goaltending problem.

KIngs problems have been goaltending and the situation is horrific.
When they got tending, lack of discipline , has been the problem.
Guys here paying attention.
Yup game was over and that one was soft.
Thompson is the best goal scorer in the NHL this week

Nice to see Krebs get the 6th goal. Jim was so correct when he said they should just yap at him and take the power play.

Cup contending teams don't take embarrassments like this laying down. The Kings just cash checks and on to the next game. Imagine not even taking a slashing minor on Krebs near the end. Just the softest franchise you can imagine.
