Vilardi finished the game with a 70.94 xGF% and a 38.08 xGF Rel, while adding a goal and an assist. By far the best player on the team. You knew he had the hands, hockey sense and drive(working through that back injury at such a young age was impressive as hell), but I wasn't sure if his skating would improve enough to be a dominant player. He really seems to have put it together to the point where he is elevating whoeever he plays with.

They may have struck gold being patient with him. I also think Byfield on his line is going to help. Two big guys that have some skill not have to play against top lines could have a very solid season. They already have chemistry

Byfield's biggest issue is a lack of body control. This is what he reminds me of:

If and when he settles down with that, then we can figure out how good of a player he can be.

Kempe really has developed one of the better shots in the league.

These 3 games have been ugly, but a few positive narratives are forming. Pretty confident this is Vilardi's breakout year. Byfield is showing signs, and he's only going to get better.

I'm confident Moore, Danault and Arvidsson will come around.

But man goaltending is a huge concern right now.

Good job Vilardi. Very happy for this young man. Not your typical Wild vs Kings game tonight. Usually they are soooo boring with no offense. I also saw bits of pieces of the game tonight because I was at work. I work in a bar so the game was one one of the tv’s. However, looking at the stats the Kings only had 5 hits all game is that right?

Hit counts are notoriously different depending on who is keeping track. I saw Vilardi hit 3 guys tonight, Kempe hit a couple as well. That's 5 alone right there.

With some scorers you have to truck someone, with others any solid contact that separates someone from the puck is a hit.

Quick is still in good shape, but I would have Copley backing up instead of Petersen. The one problem with that is Copley I think could be lost to waivers if the Kings were to send him down again.

Actually feel like games against the Wild have been some of the best since Kaprizov joined their team: especially the ones in Minny.

We're actually the boring team compared to them.

LOOOOOL byfield isn’t even close to Stutzle right now. Byfields looking alright but by no stretch of the imagination is even near Stutzle
Oh right you were the ones crying for stuzle. Easy to put up points on a lottery team where you have no accountability defensively. All you can see is points lol...
