Byfield Turcotte Toby Spence and Clarke should all be in the NHL getting big minutes and some pp time with no expectation of winning. Any vet not on board with it should be shipped out. Kupari, Lias, Fagemo, Moverare Madden should also be getting looks to see where they stand for the future.
Whatever we saw tonight was a clown show and its not the first time this season that its happened. This is not a well put together team.

The only way to get all the kids up here is lose assets to waivers.. thats the problem. Blake ensured a vet soufle with a light sprinkle of youth. Edit: well he could trade for picks and prospects too...and do a minor rebuild - but I rule that out because it wouldnt fit the narative

Kaliyev clearly hasn't learned how to check well enough.

But it's okay, guys. McLellan will put him back with Lizotte on the 4th line and he can go back to "looking better". After all, he hasn't scored a hat trick in a whole 1.5 games. I don't know why we bother giving these terrible players chances.

A team needs to function as a tight cohesive unit with clearly defined roles and an overall identity.

Kings have a random collection of players and a coach with no answers.

Last year the Moore/Danault line carried us most nights, but they've regressed.

I think once everyone realizes the organization plan wasn't to compete for a cup this season, but just make the second round of the playoffs, the more the fan bases high blood pressures will decrease. Lol

Agree 100% on the defense. If we were to fit people into boxes, we should actually probably look something like this:

1LD - Doughty
Anderson - 2RD
Bjornfot - Spence

The caveat here is that Drew should start transitioning to a defensive defenseman. Edler did it a few years back and was pretty successful.

nope, nothing is going to top that mess. I said it earlier, they got caught up in the media and family thing and weren't into this game from the start. Todd and the coaches job is to prevent this...THEY FAILED!
