Based off this blog post the speculation is that the new special edition shirts on the Fanatics site are partial leaks of what the jerseys will be...
i.e. the newly added special edition colorado avalance shirt is a throwback to the nordiques logo. The newly added rangers special edition shirt is a lady liberty New York Rangers Fanatics Branded Special Edition Long Sleeve T-Shirt - Heathered Navy
What's odd is the other shirts are grey and the rangers shirt is Heathered Navy...

Pretty sure that shirt is from the last reverse retro. The ones in the blog post are just released and would show up as newest on the Fanatics site while this one doesn't.
Edit - Looks like Fanatics yanked the shirts so they weren't supposed to be up.
Hoping for the White Liberty. I always loved the white Liberty. Both Liberty jerseys actually. Toss up for which one I liked better.

To add on, it does look like the Rangers are using the liberty but it was a different shirt that leaked.

Can we not revisit the every team has a black jersey like the 2000s?
The Red Hartford jersey is cool but something off about the bluesshirts wearing red. I'd take the OG white liberty with dark navy, silver and red trim.
The safe play is the dark blue Liberty.

Safe play? They literally went with a dark blue Liberty for last year's Reverse Retro. If they go back to the same design it's not a "safe play" but just pure laziness.

Knowing the Rangers organization rarely takes any risks, here are the realistic designs I'd be happy with
1. Cream-coloured heritage jersey (Diagonal New York lettering)
2. Navy shield jersey (2012 WC logo on a dark blue jersey)
3. Light-blue jersey (inspired by 1927-28 jersey, the first time we won the Cup)
More "out there" designs I'd be thrilled with but will likely never happen:
1. Black and neon-blue jersey (Diagonal Rangers lettering)
2. Red jersey with blue lettering
3. White 1946-47-inspired jersey (Arch Rangers and number on the front)

I would love to see a red jersey with either the Liberty logo or the blue diagonal letters. We need to be a little more exciting in my opinion. I think red would go well with this teams tenacity.

Team USA style jerseys with Rangers theme because we are AMERICAS TEAM.
A throwback to the Americans jersey posted above would be cool and different. While I loved the Libertys as a kid, I feel they need to be a little less busy now.
They should use the 2012 winter classic jersey as a template for the next alternate.

This is like the Rangers wearing an Islanders jersey. The Americans are arguably the Rangers most hated rival of all time. There was legit animosity between the two organizations. The Americans cursed the Rangers before folding. They shared old MSG from 1926 to 1942, even after rebranding to "Brooklyn".
