I dont know why Udoka behaved the way he did... he let Brad down

He is a gifted coach.... he got through to Tatum, Brown and even Smart. Team played really good ball sharing basketball. Superb team D

I wish he didnt join the Nets/Eastern conference. I guess the league wont do anything about the investigation? Should be in line with the Celtics 1 year suspension

Yep. Devastating. Celtics had to do it and then he just goes to another team, an eastern conference rival no less? Lost a lot of what little respect I had for the NBA on this one.

How can we know if the league or Celtics acted appropriately when we don't even know what transpired? We've heard rumors from it was the worst thing in the world to not that big of a deal.

Also regardless... shouldnt the Celts ask for compensation?

Or do they just want his baggage/salary out the books?

Fred Toucher called Kyrie Irving a Nazi sympathizer at the start of their 3rd hour today.
Thats a tough accusation.... I just think Irving is ignorant more than anything

Fred is spot on. When you post shit like he did and say Kanye was right, you are one.

Brushing off Kyrie’s actions as ignorant is the problem. He needs to be called out for what he is even if that makes someone uncomfortable.

There is no room for racism, bigotry and ant-Semitic rhetoric in society today.

the problem is we need to stop listening to loud people with mental health issues and a startling lack of knowledge on serious topics, and start listening to the scientists again...you know, the people who have dedicated their lives to a particular field using the scientific method to gather actual facts that can be verified through peer review

If you are including Morning Zoo Radio hosts in this assessment I 100% agree with you

Uhoh Smart not happy with FO

I don't blame him for being confused. The FO should of told the Nets NO. And let him go next year. Actions have consequences, and those arw supposed to have actions. His actions had consequences for a few months and now he's at our rival?

It should be better communicated. f*** Ime.

Easier said then done, they unload his contract from a business standpoint it makes sense.

God, I hate "Captain Poison" . Smart and his ego can't leave town soon enough.
Brown not happy with it either

I see that, and I am not happy with the egocentric Brown playing the ridiculous race card either. I am not surprised that they go easy on Udoka, since half the league, including Smart, sees groupies or has "side chicks."

They should've got compensation from the Nets. Letting your coach walk to a divisional rival mid-season for nothing seems like a strange basketball decision.

It goes to show that whatever he did must've been incredibly toxic and inexcusable because they're happy to just get him out of the organization and off the books completely.

Marcus and the team have every right to be pissed. I think Marcus is talking about everything that was said on social media. People went out of their way to track down the women involve, they tagged Nia Long, they tagged the players.

Bottom line is that the Celtics ownership and leadership screwed this entire situation up from the start and it is clear that they failed to be transparent with the players.

Let the Nets implode spectacularly but as a Celtics fan, I'm going to need the front office to clarify what the hell happened and why they are letting him walk.

Are the Celtics' brass a bunch of uptight puritans who fired an excellent up and coming coach for sleeping around a bit? Unless they come out and say what actually led to their decision I think a lot of people will continue to (rightly) have questions.

A coach who is in position of power should not sleep OR pursue anyone who is below him or his subordinate. HR 101. He violated that, allegedly many times.

I'd love to know the full story. But I know it had to be bad because no way would they let him be suspended and now leave. They loved the guy. He had it MADE here. He messed up

Well... some of the details that came out

- he got involved with an executive wife (pretty unbelievable Udoka would go there)
- there was crude language involved

If Udoka had an improper relationship outside of the organization... I dont think it would have got to this point. Likely a warning.... to get it together/not embarrass the organization

Hell baby

Don’t agree with the angle of blaming the Celtics here, they probably don’t want to get in a drawn out legal battle which they’d no doubt have if they prevented Ime from gaining employment while keeping him in limbo. Do agree with the general sentiment of the article though
