Why does anyone turtle that bad? It never works, and it gives away all of the energy. Keep attacking. Let's go Knies, Snuggerud, Cooley.

I don’t care who wins, I just want OT. If the gophers were down I would have been wanting them to score to tie it.

The whole period?

They haven't been on the PK all period. Shots are what, 15-1 in the 3rd?
Because if you press, you leave your defense “exposed”. Q was pressing. The Gophs didn’t need another goal. They needed to prevent the other team from scoring.

You’re ahead. You focus on not letting the other team score. Pretty basic logic.

Q isn't a pushover either, and they were playing desperate. They're the #2 team in the nation for a reason.
Shots 29-14. Shot attempts 61-37. I'd say they are the #1 team in the nation.

Anyway.....get completely outplayed for 2 periods, and still going to OT. No complaints.

They have all the momentum. Only thing we really have going for ourselves is that the Q hopefully over exerted themselves getting back into the game.

For 2 periods? No. 1 period? Yes.

First was the Gopher's
2nd was split
3rd was the Bobcats

Playing endless D for an entire period is stupid, play to win the game.
At some point you have to credit Q for their great forecheck while selling out to maintain said forecheck.

The Gophers by contrast had no reason to sell out from responsible play.

Exactly.

And it’s not like the Gophs didn’t have chances to score. They just didn’t convert.

OT Winner Predictions?

I’ve got:
Minnesota ~ Nelson
Quinnipiac ~ Graf
Only 1 team can score :sarcasm:
