I just don't think he has that much offense, never saw it with my eyes and never saw it on the score sheet. Maybe he'll develop it later, but he doesn't have it now. Compared to Mesar where you can at least see the offensive creativity with your own eyes, even if it doesn't appear on the score sheet.
I don't know dude was not far off a goal a game pace like 17 games or so in in. Helluva shot. But yeah he might not have the offensive creativity you'd want in a top 6 C. Still I felt like with his skating and smarts it wasn't out of the question. Shit hot 3rd line C though I reckon

Hutson just scored a nice goal
Buzzer beater with 0.4 sec left in the period
I watched quite a few of Montreal's Hutson videos and if BU needs a goal late Hutson really puts on a show whether he ends up scoring or not. Think he's had quite a few late/very late key goals. For a freshman D that's pretty nuts.

If I see next year that he's had appreciable gains in speed and strength, I'm not gonna be worried at all. They're a bit of a concern but I'm just not convinced they're QUITE the obstacles as some say, otherwise he just couldn't dominate the way he has as a freshman in college. I think his D isn't incredibly refined but from what I've seen he hasn't been getting lit up like a Christmas tree. Defensively or physically which he very well could be as a freshman.

He fricking has 2 more points than CC did in his freshman year in 7 less games as a D lolol.

Dobes had a good one but man do I love Fantilli... he's got some toughness and mange-marderie in his game. Every time I've watched him (mostly against Minnesota) he reminded me of Kirby 2.0 with the (dare I say) truculence he's shown lately...
Imagine having both those guys on the habs :D

I mean he clearly has offence, he was the best offensive player in Mississauga. He’s like Danault with a shot. He might not dangle like Mesar, but he has much more of a chance of being a successful pro.

I think Beck projects as a Plekanec like player, I see him as a good 3rd line center who can provide some offense while playing strong 2-way hockey.

Mesar has more offensive upside, but comparing center to winger is useless amyway, both are going to be valuable players bringing different tools.

Montreal
Rohrer and the 67's could clinch a playoff spot today:

Roy and Sherbrooke & Davidson and Seattle had already clinched their spots.

Since then, Kidney and Gatineau, Mailloux and London & Sobolev and Windsor have also clinched their playoff spots.
