I noticed that his skating looked better, hoping to catch one of his games soon.

He does move better, it helps his game a lot in all three zones. The Habs still have a bunch of time before they have to either sign him or let him go ( 2025 I believe) , I guess he could still force their hand at some point. I doubt it, but stranger things have happened.
