Good final! Congrats to Canada, well deserved. Both teams have great offensive talent and not so much on D. Russian goalie was weak.

The Tournament named him the Allstar goalie...

All but one of the shots... not including the open net were either not seen by him or all but unstoppable...

If he was on the losing side I didn't think he was weak... Canada's shooters were on today...

Congrats to Canada !

Pleasantly surprised how good Russia looked. I feared we might get blown out but frankly this game deserved an overtime.

Michkov with another monster game tonight

Your team played fantastic that was a great game, very evenly matched and either team could have won.

Michkov is such a fantastic hockey player, I will make an effort to watch him in the KHL next year. Superstar talent and there were several really good players for Russia.

Really strong team, Russian fans should be proud of that team.

For those keeping track... Canada

U18 champs
Silver at U20
Silver at Hlinka
Silver at World's
Gold at last 3 best on best tourneys (2014 and 2010 Olympics and World Cup)

Well done lads, brought it home.

Bunch of Western Canadian and Ontario boys getting it done. Crazy to think we didn’t have any QMJHL players for this.

While this doesn't take away the BAD taste from the World Juniors, it helps a bit - every game left you feeling better about Canadian hockey.

Imagine the team if Matthew Savoie had been playing?

Anyway, congrats to the young men. Thanks for making late April / early May of Covid quarantining better.

What's scary is the kind of prospects Canada will be cranking off in the next couple years. After recent years of <bleeping> the bed, some AMAZING / off the charts talent is on its way.

Why are the Russians still on the ice? Do they have to be there for some reason or are they soaking it in for future motivation?

Edit: waiting for their team photo

International rules for ceremonies changed after Kovulchuk and the rest of the Russian team left the ice before the Canadian anthem at the WHC in 2015...

Now all teams must stay on for the whole ceremony or they face suspension...

Strong chance Canada ends up having 4 straight number one picks from 4 different leagues. Awesome to see the diversity of talent in Canada. Great to see British Columbia finally have a superstar prospect (with all due respect to guys like Kariya, but Bedard is a generational talent)

Lol, have you seen him playing? Have you seen that episode, when he dragged the penalty, when he fooled a Canadian behind the net with his skating?

Very impressive skating for a World class hockey player...

Not as good as Yuzuru Hanyu... but I am pretty sure if Yuzuru was trying to figure skate and someone was trying to take his head off at high speed... ?

I think Yuzuru would bail out of the Quad jump... someone mentioned him lumping all skaters... clearly the context was hockey players not all skaters...

Very impressive skating on Michkov's part...

McDavid isn't as fast as Pavel Kulizhnikov, but a good skater nevertheless.
