Looks like the Rays are our only hope
Either and a Jays win.So only way for us to have a play in is the Yankees lose? Or is it either Red Sox or Yankees lose?

Lol they brought the tying run to the plate only to let us down.
f*** our first half woes
I was pissed off with that too but we can’t look at it that way. It’s one play and in September we had plays go our way. eg a pitch that led to a grand slam by Gurriel and we came back from being down by 4 runs. It’s the first half and more specifically a putrid effort from our bullpen…remember Dolis, Chatwood, Thornton I etc. They lost too many games for us when we had the lead.IF Semien didn't make an error on a simple throw against the Tigers, that was a win. It's going to sting if we end up 1 game out at the end of the day tomorrow.

Correct, and if Seattle wins tonight and tomorrow, (and if the Jays win tomorrow) then that tiebreaker will be 3 teams (for one wildcard spot) if one of NY or BOS loses tomorrow or 4 teams if both NY and BOS lose tomorrow (for both wildcard spots). So best we can do is a tie for the WC now right? If Jays win and one of NY and BOS loses tomorrow then I believe we will be seeing a tiebreaker
Seattle losing tonight would save a lot of air travelReposting here. Hopefully Seattle loses tonight to make it simpler
Scenarios
1. Jays lose tomorrow they're out
2. Boston and New York win Toronto is out
3. Jays win Boston loses, New York wins, Seattle loses 1 more game. Jays/Boston tiebreaker in Boston, winner goes to New York for the WC game
4. Jays win, Boston wins, New York loses, Seattle loses 1 more game. Jays/Yankees tiebreaker in Toronto, winner goes to Boston for the WC game
5. Jays win, Boston loses, New York wins, Seattle wins both games. 3 way tie for 1 spot. Jays have worst draft position so likely have to win 2 games, the first on the road(likely in Seattle if Boston chooses correctly) and then the 2nd at home(against Boston)
6. Jays win, Boston wins, New York loses, Seattle wins both games. 3 way tie for 1 spot. Jays have worst draft position so likely have to win 2 games, the first on the road(likely in Seattle if New York chooses correctly) and then the 2nd at home(against New York)
7. Jays win, Boston loses, New York loses, Seattle loses 1 game. 3 way tie for 2 spots. Boston picks first and will certainly pick playing game 1 at home. Jays Can either choose to play Boston on the road to get in, and if they lose they'd get a 2nd chance to get in playing New York on the road. Or they could choose to face the loser of Boston/New York at home but only have 1 chance.
8. Jays win, Boston loses, New York loses, Seattle wins both games. 4 way tie for 2 spots. I'm not sure who we'd face but it's a single elimination game and since we have the 2nd selection, it would almost certainly be at home.
Seattle losing tonight would save a lot of air travel
These Seattle announcers are terrible. I don’t know if I’ve heard them use the Mariners players actual names, just straight up nicknames
