The Nemesis
Semper Tyrannus
Just one game on Sunday to finish the series off. Let's see if there's more theatrics in this team
From what I understand, the three teams in the tiebreaker would be sorted into Team A, Team B and Team C. Team A would host against Team B, with the winner getting a wild card spot, while the loser would go on to play away against Team C for the other wild card. The Red Sox would get to choose which Team they would like to be (almost certainly Team A), because they won the season series against both the Jays and Yankees. The Blue Jays would get the next pick because they beat the Yankees. So assuming they pick what I would pick in that situation. The Red Sox would host the Jays, while the loser of that game would play the Yankees in NY. The two winners than play in the Wild Card game.If the season ends in a 3 way tie between the RS/BJ/Yankees for the WC spots, how do the tiebreaker games work?

This is dumb. It should be total combined winning % which the jays still have a chance to win.
The Sox are 20-15 against NYY/TOR. Jays are 19-16 against BOS/NYY. Both teams have a 3 game series against NYY left. If the jays won 2 more games than BOS in their remaining NYY series then technically we would have a higher win % against BOS/NYY than BOS has against us/NYY, but because BOS would be 10-9 against us/ and either 10-9 or 11-8 against NYY they get it, when our 13-6 or 12-7 record against NYY give us a superior total h2h overall.
The odds that this scenario plays out aren't high, and home field in game 1 isn't that important when you have 2 chances anyway, but still.
After all that plays out. Who hosts the WC? Winner of Game 1, or can the game 2 winner host if they have better h2h over game 1 winner? Meaning if We beat Boston and Boston then beats NYY who hosts?

This is actually incorrect iirc. By elimination rules, Boston gets 1st wildcard without playing and Toronto hosts NY in game 163 for 2nd. Unless the rules have changed, 163 is the maximum number of games in a season.
Fun fact: the play-in game counts as a regular season game and all stats get added to regular season totals.
Three-Club Tie for Two Wild Card Spots:
After Clubs have been assigned their A, B and C designations, Club A would host Club B. The winner of the game would be declared one Wild Card winner. Club C would then host the loser of the game between Club A and Club B to determine the second Wild Card Club.
Iirc, the tie-breaker gets really perverse if a 4 way tie happens. Intelligent thought would have 2 play-ins, but again, unless the rules have changed, 1 team would automatically make it and 1 team would be eliminated.
I believe the formula for wildcard tie-break is win season series, then record against common opponents.
Four-Club Tie for Two Wild Card Spots:
After Clubs have been assigned their A, B, C and D designations, Club A would host Club B and Club C would host Club D. The winners of each of those games would be declared the Wild Card Clubs.

Should we complain about them not taking enough pitches? What's even more bizarre is that he only threw 30 pitches that inning. Gave up 5 runs and got the 3 outs and only threw 30. Incredible.
Gotta use that Yankees approach, am I right? Fastball down the middle? Taking all the way!Should we complain about them not taking enough pitches?

I've slowly grown an irrational hatred for Valera. How is this the best this team can do at 3rd base? I know Espinal and Biggio are hurt, and Smith hasn't been good at all, but theres gotta be someone better. At least Lamb can somewhat get on-base.Can't wait until Biggio and Espinal are back, having some of these weak ass hitters in the bottom of our lineup sucks.
