Its not bad as long as you pick your spots, and doin it with 2 outs while up by 4 is about as low risk as you can get.I have been liking the agression on the basepaths this year.

You really can’t fault them when you look at the numbers. I have family down there, and their schools have been open since last fall, their businesses/restaurants at 75% for many months. Their cases, deaths and hospitalizations have plummeted, and their infection rate is the lowest it’s been since August. Also their deaths per capita is about middle of the pack for the US, about 165 per 100k. New Jersey by comparison is 277 per 100k. NY is 258, Massachusetts 251 etc.
Also look at this past weekend. Texas had just 1,102 new cases Sat, 1,607 new cases Sun, and a whopping 837 new cases today. That’s in a state with 30 million people who went "masks-off" about a month ago. Michigan by comparison, had over 9,000 new cases yesterday and it’s going up. New York, 7,600, and so on. Texas also was one of the first states last week to open vaccinations up to all adults. My brother is getting his first shot this week, but here in Indiana I can’t get mine til end of the month.
I think all of the baseball owners will be watching the Rangers very closely over the next few weeks. If there’s no major spike in cases in the DFW area you will see lots of teams opening up their stadiums to larger crowds. And if vaccinations continue nationwide on their current pace, I bet you start seeing mostly full stadiums by mid-season at the latest.
