LA Kings Name Roster for 2021 Rookie Faceoff

Highlighting the Kings contingent are forwards Quinton Byfield (2nd overall, 2020), Arthur Kaliyev (33rd overall, 2019), and Rasmus Kupari (20th overall, 2018), each of whom made their NHL debuts this past season. Additionally, four first-round selections are slated to be on the ice as Byfield and Kupari will be joined by forward Alex Turcotte (5th overall, 2019) and the Kings most recent first-round selection, defenseman Brandt Clarke (8th overall, 2021). Joining Clarke from the Kings 2021 NHL Draft class is second-round selection, forward Francesco Pinelli (42nd overall).

In total, 11 players on the Kings roster skated all or part of the 2020-21 season with the Ontario Reign, the AHL affiliate of the LA Kings, including forwards Byfield, Martin Chromiak (128th overall, 2020), Aidan Dudas (113th overall, 2018), Samuel Fagemo (50th overall, 2019), Kaliyev, Kupari, Tyler Madden (From VAN; 68th overall, 2018) and Turcotte; defensemen Sean Durzi (From TOR; 52nd overall, 2018) and Markus Phillips (118th overall, 2017); and goaltender Jacob Ingham (175th overall, 2018).

As part of the annual tournament, the Kings will compete this year against the Arizona Coyotes, Colorado Avalanche and Vegas Golden Knights. The Anaheim Ducks and San Jose Sharks are the other participants in the event, which features top prospects from each team. For a full tournament schedule, see below. Ticket and streaming information can be found at arizonacoyotes.com/rookiefaceoff

Maybe I'm blind, but I couldn't find anything that had the actual date/times for the Kings games.

Are they throwing them into game speed right away? If not when does rookie training camp start?

To the best of my knowledge the Rookie Faceoff IS rookie camp. Dev camp is usually late June/early July so I think between Dev Camp and the Rookie Faceoff they figure the kids will have had their time before the full team gets on the ice for training camp on Sept 23rd

I'm excited, but fully expect to be without Byfield for some nagging injury, Turcotte with hypothermia, Kaliyev to Covid Protocol, and Clarke out with fuzzy nipples.

I was at development camp and I noticed many many times Clarke playing with this nipples. The coaches were constantly pulling his hands out from under his jersey. Totally makes sense now.

Someone is going to have to play their off side on D, lots of right shots. I would guess Phillips plays with Clarke.

I wonder if there is any Blake connection with Dylan Robinson, Simcoe is a small town.

I was thinking of going to Scottsdale to check this out but the issue is the games are at two different arenas and one is offering individual tickets for 10 bucks and the other requires a weekend day pass that is around 100ish. I just want to see the one game Monday.
