Buch trade was far worse than the Ned deal

Not when you look at the positions the teams traded from. Carolina traded away a potential franchise goalie for peanuts. We gave away a top winger, when we are loaded with top wingers. The negative impact is far greater on them than us.

I'm not a huge Boqvist fan but Chicago giving him up and extending Jones to $9.5 million/year is a howler. Fox deserves $12 million on that scale.

Without looking up the metrics of the past season, Jones seemed to me one of the top 2 RHD in the league.

Arizona made a great trade. They took on 3 expiring contracts and dumped the awful OEL contract. Arizona didn't seem to like Garland very much. He was sent to VAN. Arizona got the 9th pick overall and a 2nd next year. Arizona retained 12% of the OEL contract. $990,000. Arizona can trade Rousell and Beagle at the trade deadline for picks.

Vancouver is trying to re-sign their two young guys. Pettersson and Hughes.
