Who wins in a 7 game series if everyone is healthy?

I was leaning towards the Panthers slightly but Vasi barely swayed the pendulum the other way for me, Lightning in 7.

it would be a nail biter, but I'm going with 2021 tampa by a hair, it would be a 7 game series IMO

I think they have the goaltending
I they they have the depth to match florida and they have the defensive core to keep up with florida's relentless forecheck about as good as anyone possibly could

The Lightning made beating the Islanders look difficult and had by far the weakest brackets of any recent champion (except for themselves). They're one of the best champions on paper but weakest in practice.

This Panthers team is the best in the 21 century, apart from the 2008 Red Wings. Panthers in 6
Not really. Any of Dallas/Vegas/Colorado would've beaten them last year or this year. They got really lucky to face Edmonton both years, or else they'd have ended up as the Buffalo Bills of the NHL.

I like how there is no mention of Panthers being 2025 cup winners yet people keep saying "iTs nOT oVEr YeT". Do people read or what... It's comparing two teams.

I would lean toward Tampa because they could play any style of game, and were much more equipped back then to handle the rough side of things while being just as relentless. Definitely feels like a 7 gamer though.

I'll take the Panthers because of their stacked 2nd and 3rd lines and Barkov/Forsling's shutdown ability.

Definitely a 6/7 game series.

The very same Vegas & Dallas teams that Edmonton tore through in a combined ten games this year?

I understand that one can make the rock-paper-scissors argument but I still think it seriously short-changes just how good Florida has been in these playoffs.

Perhaps it's recency bias, perhaps it's the fact that the Lightning got to coast in the 21 finals against a hopelessly outmatched Canadiens, but I think I'd take the Panthers over the Bolts in the hypothetical.

Agreed, good teams have generally been able to hold Tampa's forwards to the perimeter and shut down their 5v5 offense. Tampa only faced one good team combined in those back to back cups.

Kucherov is but one player.

It's not like he's been able to drag them deep in the playoffs since their dominant years. Hell, he couldn't do it this year against the Panthers.
Kucherov was arguably the best player on the planet, leading the best team. His peak can be argued but he missed the entire season, came back and scored another 30+ point playoff run and led his team in scoring by a significant margin.
