We're really starting to get into the meat of things with COVID postponements, eh folks? I think I had 5 players announced between this morning and right now have either had games postponed or have been added to the COVID protocol lists.

This is going to be the most challenging season yet, which is why I increased the number of IR+ slots, but unfortunately Yahoo is too dumb to not include players who are on teams that have their games postponed.

The extra IR slots have helped for sure, thanks for increasing those. It is annoying the "PPD" status doesn't count, but at least it seems if a player is legitimately on the COVID protocol list they are IR+ eligible.

Yes, that's been the signal from the organization from the past few years. They traded Campbell to make space for him on the NHL roster, then they gave him a three year contract that was two-way the first year and one-way in the last two.

He's been stellar, and the competition with Quick (who's a competitive SOB) will hopefully only make him better in the long run.

In terms of fantasy though, I'd say you can only count on him to play 50% of the games this season. Quick has been solid too (it's the team that's most inconsistent), and TMac seems happy with an even timeshare.

I'd think it's safe to assume the Kings would leave Quick exposed.

Just wanted to say sorry I auto-drafted guys. I meant to draft my own team, but I had something come up when the draft was happening and couldn't attend. It's fun being in a league with people who actually understand the game and are passionate about it. I always found the public Yahoo leagues to be way too easy.

What do members of the league think of expanding the number of playoff teams from 6 to 8 in our 12 team league?

I realize a lot of teams have been screwed by what's happened this season, especially with postponements, having players on the Canucks, or having players who face the Canucks having all their games postponed.

8 is probably too many PO slots for a 12 team league IMO. All GMs have had to deal with adversity. Most likely a sub .500 team will take that slot. A couple years ago I snuck into the ovs in a similar situation (the league contracted but Commish didn't adjust the PO slots down). I ended up winning the championship that year as the 8th seed. Other GMs were pissed lol. They gave me shit for a while and probably will for some time.

Edit: This year in my league we only have 4 slots in a 10 team league. I'm sitting 10-2 looking at a 2 week skid heading into the ovs. Got pinched by ppd last couple weeks.

Great season, all! It came down to a nail-biter! I'd like to thank former King Jack Campbell AKA Soupy for taking Vote for Lubo! from good to great!

Hopefully we'll have less uncertainty next season, but it was kind of fun playing whack-a-mole with the NA/IR list and subbing in guys who never otherwise be fantasy players.
