I watched this match. We missed more players than just Slaf and Nemec. The statistic is true, literally the dominant performance in terms of the offensive phase in terms of defense, it was not ideal there, but still better than for other years. We could easily shoot that 10+ goal and it would be deserved. But I'm also curious about HGC and where our team has moved and where the Germans have moved since that match.
Yeah we didn’t have dvorsky, Ciernik, Elias, Molnar and I’m sure a few others who would fit in there now. I think for the Germans, Lutz has taken a step forward since than. This tournament will be very interesting to watch, could be pretty balanced.

Not Rastislav Elias ? Is it because he is not strong enough or is he seen as a major absentee?

Camp invites for Slovakia

These names look pretty decent also without Slafkovsky, Nemec, Mesar and Elias. I am very curious how they will play at HGC. Correct me if I am wrong but our team has never started preparation 1 month before this tournament. This is also sign that our hockey federation started to take this tournament seriously.

Will other guys (Slaf, Nemec etc) play at the tournament, though?

Where did you find this?

I don't think, he's even good enough for Russian roster. We don't have Zhugin, Kantserov and Yakupov, who're easily better.

For sure I get it , no one knows what to expect from him as he hasn’t played in a year . Highest league he’s played in is AAA and if he hasn’t grown then size is a big issue . He’s still talented though

Russia should be the heavy favourites with Canada not there. Such nonsense that Canada isn’t playing in this tournament, it’s always a very high quality tournament and one to follow closely year in and year out.

Russia has a strong team who looked really good at the U-18s a few months ago.

Lots of exciting and very talented players on that team.
