Buffalo fires their coach. Hopefully we see a surge from them.

I'll just leave this here to remind everyone that sports success is cyclical.
It's an eight, not a five. Thankfully.Man, we only have FIVE regulation wins all season? I honestly didn’t realize it was that bad

Blue liner easily. Lindholm is injury prone and so is MansonAnd three of those regulation wins were 1-0 shutouts. LoL
Piggybacking off of those 1-goal games, the Ducks have been involved in 19 one-goal games out of the 30 games we've plays so far. That's about 2/3rds of our games are 1-goal games this season. Our record stinks in those 1-goal games, of course, going 6-7-6 (18 pts). If there is a silver lining, the team is close to making a turn for the better. The team will need a few more talents to help improve those one-goal game results.
In our recent 4-game losing streak, none of them have been one-goal game differentials. We've lost all four games by 2 or more goals. The four-game losing streak production: GF = 6, GA = 22, GDiff = -16. Anaheim is missing three of it's top defensive-minded players in 1D Lindholm, D Manson, and RW Rowney. Rowney will miss the rest of the season. Lindholm will be out for at least another four weeks. Manson is day-to-day.
Although we've been pining for scoring, it's because of our defense and Gibby (3 shutouts) that gives us a chance to win games. We do not have enough talent on the blue line to compete without Lindholm and Manson. Our PK also took a nose dive without them there along with Rowney.
Which brings us back to this thread. We're losing mightily due to our lack of talent depth on the blue line. Should the Ducks focus on adding another blue liner with a potential top pick for this draft?
We're on pace for our worst season ever by points percentage.Oh wait hell, I totally looked at the wins column like an idiot. Yeah, we really only have five regulation wins, jesus.
What year currently holds the record? Also what was our worst standings finish? We're on pace for our worst season ever by points percentage.
94-95, the first lockout year. 16-27-5. Our lowest-ever finish was 27th, last year, although quite a few teams have entered the league after we did. What year currently holds the record? Also what was our worst standings finish?

let's get that #1OVR baybeeeeAs of right now we are 30 out of 31 teams. Only Buffalo is worse.
Buffalos roster should legitimately at least be in playoff discussions, like Hall Eichel Reinhart Dahlin Skinner Oloffsson Staal their is so much good talent, I honestly think Buffalo has been detrimental to the League and the young talent they get, Ristolainen had so much potential, the guys I listed, many could have been better, they are a parasite
edit: they have also killed Montour who should be better than he is, I’d like to see a list of players who could be way better if Buffalo weren’t the ones that owned their rights

It's time for me to take a much needed shot at the anti-tank crowd that thinks we can win forever and don't need top picks (like Drysdale and zegras). If we just hold onto our vets the team will just magically figure it out from veteran leadership...lmao. like someone else said tonight, give me power and lambert and the league better watch out.
Trading rakell is what will move us from 7th oa to a top pick, plus give us a first or high end prospect that gives us cheap depth but also gives us another shot at that late round steal. You don't get top picks from trying to win today. You have to embrace the rebuild to an extent. The Power and Lambert picks will be ones that come from being bad like we currently are, not ones that we get in return for Rakell or Henrique

We have enough depth, I'd only trade him for a pick or prospect that has a decent chance at being a top line guy.I'm all for moving Rakell if we get a good return like the one you're suggesting, but with Rakell we're the 3rd worst team in the league already
