It's amazing that Groulx was voted 8th and even now looks like he could be a solid NHL player.

Volkov is the one player that looks out of place to me. He's a lot older than most of these guys, he has a very limited upside, he was just waived by the Ducks, and no one claimed him.

Volkov went back when we hadn't seen how much he had regressed during the pre-season and was a solid 3rd / 4th liner. In hindsight he probably shouldn't have gone that high, but there's something to be said that at the time he looked like an NHL regular.

I think this might be the best prospect pool I have ever seen from the Ducks.

Elite talent at the top, and guys that have a legit shot at the NHL all the way down to atleast 19.
