There is enough talent in Bing to not be that horrendous. A young team, sure, but talented in any event. And they hardly score.

Bing under his watch was making a major push to the playoffs last season, with a good chance of pulling it off, but then the season ended early.

This wasn't a proper season. You had guys spending time on the taxi squad, covid outbreaks, playing only 3 teams, and nothing to play for but development and jobs.

Yeah dude, you ranted about this and people discussed Merrimack College. I don’t see the point of doing that again and his NCAA career doesn’t have any direct barring on his Devils career either way.

Bitch all you want, Dennehy won himself accolades for the surge to the playoffs in 2019-20 season, his second pro coaching season, and this AHL season was less normal and functional than even the COVID meat grinder condensed intra-divisional NHL season. There is no reason to fixate about this shortened season’s record in the practice arena against three teams under crazy circumstances.

Dennehy will be back and if the team really struggles in Utica the Devils can replace him since they did talk about a “winning culture” in the Utica and will start caring about that again. That how pro coaching works. The AHL is a development league so winning the Calder Cup isn’t actually the main goal but you still want good winning environment.
