Apparently, McDavid was giving him an earful on the bench for Kane putting up the 7 fingers. Was none too pleased.

McDavid has been all business all series. Props to him. This series has made me even more impressed by what he can do with just a total shit show around him, and completely unimpressed by Draisaitl, who is constantly looking for someone to save him.

There's no way he won't play. Even in a sheltered role, his offense is too important to them. If he dresses and can't go more than 2 minutes, so be it. Have to at least try to gut it out.

Yup, just more edmonton media mind games so they can do the 'wah everyone is against us' bullshit some more. So over canadian media. such a f***ing joke brigade. These guys make Bernstein look like Walter Cronkite.

Say what you want about Kane, but he's turned himself into a hell of a villain in this series.

Definitely, he's been a force. Little bit of a habitual line stepper and we're lucky he didn't hurt anyone (Edler, Lizotte) but outside the incidents he's just been a beauty of a hard player.

God the Kings could use another Vancouver Dman like Willie Mitchell but instead we got f***ing Edler.

Willie was so good and tough.

Say hello to Michael Anderson.

My favorite part:

“It’s really just another game. It really is,” Williams said. “You have to want to be the guy and believe you can be the guy to make the difference and to be the one that wins the game for the team,” Williams said on Friday night. “Or to have the biggest impact. You can’t wait for anybody else to do it.

“That’s a lot of the advice I give — don’t wait for anybody else.

Also talks a lot about the importance of leadership passing down those experiences, and that you have to have fun with it.

“You enjoy it. You smile. You’re there. You’re happy you are in the lineup. That you can play this game for a living and have an opportunity to play one of those games.”

Sorry one last thing...

“Living on the East Coast, you get a sense of the lack of respect for the unknown that the Kings are,” Williams said. “Nobody knows really who they are. Nobody watches them play very often and therefore don’t really know what to expect.”

Williams laughed, and said: “How many points did they have? Almost 100?”

Ninety-nine.

“Almost 100 points this year. It’s no fluke (to do that) in the NHL. You can get (almost) 100 points and all of a sudden people were saying Edmonton is going to steamroll them. You’re seeing the players now and certainly the young ones who are making their names known. ‘We’re not intimidated. We’re aware of the lack of respect that we’ve gotten throughout this series.’

“It’s sometimes even better – the fact that you can all work toward one goal and the fact that nobody believes in us but ourselves.

“This is just from an outsider who doesn’t watch the team regularly. But I’ve seen the team here in the playoffs and they certainly don’t look out of place, don’t look overwhelmed, don’t look overmatched and that’s why it is going to seven games.”

McLellan is probably thinking even though AA is a defensive liability, all he needs is that one chance to break through if we need him. Vilardi/Byfield unfortunately haven't shown to be that just yet. Not agreeing with that line of thinking, just saying that's probably why.

Yeah he's more likely to score some random goal.

Wasn't Liz, Pepe and Kaliyev a really good line during the regular season? Wonder why they haven't been put back together
