AA can be good in small doses, but as soon as you start trying to rely on him for anything he falls apart.

The problem is the replacements are Lias, Byfield, Vilardi or JAD and your entire post is the same for those guys minus the "can be good in small doses" part. None of those guys provided offense as well as AA, and that is why hes in and they aren't.

Hopefully AA is replaced by someone externally this offseason, but as of now no one internally is a better option. Would have been nice to add a even generic 2nd liner on an expiring contract at the deadline.

I’m at the game. It’s honestly been pretty boring so far. The most notable players have honestly been Lizotte and Kaliyev I think.

Yeah but if the teams have a fight at the bar later tonight the Wild will win. That is what really matters!

can't play the kids, its early in the season and they're not ready, have to set the tone

can't play the kids, we're getting buried right now, need the vets to steady the ship before we let them loose

cant play the kids, too many injuries, they'll be exposed higher in the lineup

can't play the kids, these games are meaningful now, we need every point

can't play the kids, literally every point counts, these are essentially playoff games

can't play the kids, it's the playoffs and theyr'e not ready

I mean, might as well f***ing trade them all for mid-20-somethings if we're going to do this shit again

We probably should have. We could have had three contributing lines.

Very fortunate to be down 1 with the way the first 30 minutes went. But the Kings finished that final 10 minutes strong.

Why? The Kings need offense and speed more than whatever it is Gabe has provided this season.

That being said AA has been terrible tonight, but Vilardi was terrible all season. Atleast AA will occasionally flash. The Kings just can't sacrifice speed and skill right now with how our roster is constructed.
I get what you mean, but other than his 1 goal, I don't think he's flashed much. Playoff AA is not the same as regular season AA. I'd have suggested Byfield but he's been even worse than AA.

If Kaliyev-Kopitar-Kempe sticks as a line they won't be able to name it the same way they named the Deadmarsh-Allison-Palffy line.

Had the Kings committed to playing youth this season the only thread we are talking in is the Around the League one and we are talking about Vegas vs. Edmonton. Is that better for the franchise long-term? I think a case can be made for that, but it's another discussion.

The Kings did what everyone on here wanted, they had Byfield and Vilardi together for 15 games. All the "Get Brown and AA off his line", "Call-up Vilardi, him and QB will click" requests were granted and it just didn't work out for a team that was trying to make the playoffs. The Champagne Line just had to be benched.

It's amazing how little faith Todd has in the younger players, and more incredible still how often they make him look like an idiot when they really get a chance!
Kaliev, Lizzotte, Danault, and Durzi willed that goal from literally nothing.

I would be fine rolling three lines in the 3rd period and sitting Kopitar, AA, Brown, and Edler.
