Completely let Edmonton and Smith off the hook in that period. Played well, but didn't bear down. Should be up 2 or 3 to 0. Gonna have to really battle just like that the rest of the way. Inevitable oilers push and special teams coming up relatively soon. Get guys right in Smith's kitchen, those oloose pucks shouldn't stay loose.

Yeah, don’t like the feel of this one. I trust in their effort but this one can turn fast. If LA had a half way decent power play they could sweep.

I bandwagonned to Edmonton when Athanasiou got traded there. It was Tippett, but the culture seems the same.
It's all about McDavid and Drai.
Seems even more tilted toward McDavid today. Just didn't feel like team hockey.
I can't believe their goalies are Smith/Koskinen still.

Byfield is doing great, he’s winning faceoffs, checking and hustling. He doesn’t look like a rookie out there.

Every wasted powerplay is just a good omen for the Oilers. Because refs have a tendency of evening the calls, regardless of activity on the ice.
Kings need to get their 5 on 5 game going in the second period.
