Decent period overall. Outside of the 2 on 1 with Girgensons I don't think the Sabres were really threatening as much as we were.

Yeah I don't understand why our power play strategy is "don't move".

I've never believed any coach will ever tell players to stand still. It's always move your feet. Pee-wee hockey practice, it's move your feet, move your feet.

Maybe it's being tired, maybe everyone thinks they're Ovechkin, maybe the wrong guys are out there, maybe everyone let's their guard down because they've got 2 min with a man advantage, but I don't think anyone is telling players not to move around as a strategy.

I didn't place blame on any one person, but there is absolutely no deceit in our plan. For years, it's been perimeter passing and hope the other team makes a mistake, we don't create chances on our own. In fact, the easiest strategy to defend against LA's power play is to be hyper-aggressive and attack the puck carrier, because we don't really have the skill to beat defenders one on one.

The onus is on both the players and coaches here. The only guy moving around really was Kaliyev.
