Sometimes I wonder what would have happened if Brown hadn't gone on that epic goal scoring streak after he was in all the trade deadline rumors in 2012. I think he got a hat trick the next game and that team never looked back.

These last 2 games really did feel like pre-season games. Hard to get any read on where the team is. They have 11 of a possible 12 since the Colorado loss but all against teams that didn’t really care.

AA / Kopitar / Kempe
Moore / Danault / Arvidsson
Grundstrom / Byfield / Kaliyev
Iafallo / Lizotte / Brown

That is what they had in the final meaningful games down the stretch and I assume that’s what you see for Game 1. But there may be some short leashes on QB and Grundstrom with Kupari, Vilardi and Lemieux next in line.
