Why did they f*** with Vilardis attempt?

I love this game and this league but the officiating is so full of ego, they can't stand to not be center stage at any given moment. It's tough to watch.
Ya.. esp the linesmen in the face off circle.. I dont know if it was a league decision to do this, but most of my life i never seen guys get kicked out nearly as often as the last few years... and they get in guys heads waiting and waiting to drop the puck.

I've noticed this as well but it's been going on forever. My dad used to yell at the linesmen "Were not here to see you!!!. 🤣

I love that. Im bad at games like that too - i get on the refs because its the only time i can give them a piece of my mind instead of at the tv :)

Missing the playoffs could be the best thing right now so Blake gets the message that it's not good enough.

He might make a panic trade for Chychrun though.

Todd is bad at coaching.

Kings would have to flat out collapse to miss the playoffs right now. A few bad games isn't going to cut it.

Not sure what happened but after the shorty when it looked like the tables had turned, the Kings started losing shift after shift getting on their heals.. and never got back to their game. They looked more like the team that played the night before.

Happy to get a point, really. Young D got exposed a lot tonight, it was bound to happen. Kopi's line looked crappy but part of that was being rolled out against the Kane/DeBrincat line all night. Not the best game but they neutralized the damage enough to stay close and get that point. Props to Chicago, they turned it around after a horrible start.

Anyone who's coached a bit at any level - knows sometimes lines get in a rut, and you try to tweak things a bit to wake up the line and everyone else to remind them, no job is safe.. sometimes the team responds because they dont want that guy blamed for whats gone wrong (similar to pulling the goalie). But doing nothing when a line is in like a 20 game slump - thats unheard of.

Minus Moore, Danault, Arvidsson and Quick piss poor effort by the team tonight.
I thought Durzi was all over the place tonight.

He may not always make the right decision but at least he always makes one. Not an ounce of panic in his game and if he wants a puck to get somewhere it usually does.

Kaliyev with 8 minutes and change??? Injured?

And the Kings played a 30 minute game. Chicago didn’t have as many shots but they were getting some real good looks.

The Hawks finished with a higher xGF%, I'm not the biggest fan of that stat, but the eye test matched up pretty well.

I like Durzi but as a defenseman he makes some awful reads but his offense is outweighing his defensive mistakes right now.

And that 4th line just got benched at some point, but Todd should bump up Kaliyev and knock down Iaffalo.

You do realize Blake is now just starting to evaluate propects due to all these injuries? Blake's job is secured by ownership and so is Todds.Their still building this team the right way not by panic impulses.Kings are not a serious contender by any means. The next two years I would agree that things need to change and Kings need to be a serious contender no later than in three years.

Iafallo since the end of January

20GP
0G
3A
3P
-2

0 PP Points while spending the entire time on the #1 PP Unit.

2 of his 3 assists in that time came on empty net goals.

The teams record in that time is 12-6-2

In that same time frame the "#2 LW" Trevor Moore has

20GP
6G
12A
18P
+8

0 PP points
3 SHG

Moore has as many SHG in the last 8 weeks as Iafallo has total points. It's almost unbelievable at this point how Iafallo is still deployed the way he is (1st line, #1 PP unit, OT). Never thought we'd see anything like the Richards 2014 situation again but this has easily sailed by it in the completely baffling category about 3-4 weeks ago, Richards had already been relegated to the 4th line by this time, and he may have even been playing better than Iafallo.

I really don't think Iafallo is one of the Kings 12 best options at forward right now. This is one of the worst in-season collapses by a player I can ever remember for as long as I've been a fan.

Iafallo needs replacing this summer in s big way. Love what hes been able to do but the team needs to use some assets to improve his position IMO.

With the middle 6 looking great most nights, looks as if Kaliyev has 1RW or to stay on the 4th
