Not a must-win from a playoff standpoint, but gotta build some momentum here against teams near the bottom. If that happens, we'll be worrying about home ice rather than if we will end up making the playoffs.
 
Gotta keep piling up points to get in the playoffs, especially against the teams at the bottom of the standings.

To be honest, I actually prefer Leah Hextall to Faust. She brings the energy & intensity that Bob Miller used to have. Faust, seemingly, has two modes: "nonchalant" and ........ "nervy???"

A few notable games today:

Dallas @ Carolina
Vancouver @ Minnesota
San Jose @ Edmonton
Nashville @ Vegas

Would really love to see San Jose beat up on Edmonton and Nashville beat Vegas. Minnesota beating Vancouver would be nice too. If Vegas and Vancouver continue to lose, the wild card is almost inconsequential. It'll be LA vs Edmonton at 2 and 3 in the Pacific.

We have a chance to be 8 points up on Vegas with one game in hand and 10 points up on Vancouver with the same number of games played by the end of the night. 5 points up on Edmonton wouldn't be too bad either.

Again, dunno what to expect anymore. But next three are 'must wins' from a points perspective, though it will be teams playing loose and playing for jobs, and I'm not sure we match up well vs. that.

We aren't talented enough to out-talent the best teams, we just raw outwork them.
We aren't talented enough to just run over the worst teams without outworking them--so let's not get behind the 8 ball as usual. Only game I remember us doing this well in was coming back on the Coyotes last time.

Hawks didn't roll over for the Ducks last night, they kept coming. Gonna need three good periods and I'm hopeful they've got it in them. I would be livid for us to enter the more favorable part of our schedule and start giving away points. Edmonton just beat Colorado; we have to beat Chicago.

This is the time of year when teams that are out of playoff contention play like they have nothing to lose. Guys working extra hard to secure jobs for next season. Kings can’t be outworked.

You forgot USA @ Mexico World Cup Qualifier haha. That's what I'm going to be watching tonight on the TV. Kings will be on my laptop.
